Through and in my work, I find the beauty in the darkness of my personal and inherited history. I explore themes of identity, trauma, silencing, sexuality, shame, change and transformation. My imagery ranges from abstract to representational. My subject matter is meant to take on multiple forms.
I was first introduced to printmaking at Mount Holyoke College, where I graduated with a BA in studio art. I was immediately drawn to the cathartic nature of carving, the multiple and very technical processes available and the ability to re-use and re-invent an image. I’ve recently started collaging with magazines, attracted to the immediacy of the medium and the ability to easily bring this practice into my home.
I currently live in Salem with my partner, cat and dog and work as a somatic, sex, and psychedelic therapist in private practice. You can learn more here: Sacred Moonflower
